That's an anecdote. Pretty sure most retail diet soda uses aspartame, some with sucralose and or aceK, or even stevia these days. Fountain soda "did" use saccharine a while back. I'm not positive, but I believe cyclamates are off the market.

Don’t remember Keen, but did drink Tang & Kool-Aid in the ‘60s. My mom preferred adding her own sugar. We never got the sugar-free stuff, either powdered or ready made. I was sensitive to cyclamates & saccharine. Gave me a major headache after an hour.
