Les styles comme "rail" ou "cyclosm" ne sont pas hébergés ni conçus chez nous, mais sont gratuits.

Went on a bike ride and found a bunch of bike racks to add to OpenStreetMap / CyclOSM. It's nifty to see just how quickly bicycle infrastructure has sprouted up since the pandemic :D

I like the reminder here that a lot of cities have changed since COVID, and people might not even know about new bike lanes. Always like to plug CyclOSM 🚲

Today I spent some time adding all the new bike lanes around SMART (California Bay Area) stations to OpenStreetMap/CyclOSM using satellite imagery and wow, I am impressed by just how many places on it have halfway decent bike lane networks around the stations

Une ville de plus qui interdit la circulation à vélo dans son centre piéton
À Arras, le centre-ville est donc interdit aux vélos (en tous cas d'après le panneau il faut avoir au moins un pied à terre ? 😅)
Et malheureusement, les aménagements ne sont pas foule autour...

OpenCycleMap or CyclOSM are the most accurate and legible bicycle route maps (because people like me have poured thousands of hours into updating OpenStreetMap).
IMO the State’s map is probably best improved through government GIS staff sharing up-to-date data w MnDOT via MN Bikeways Data Standard.

OpenCycleMap or CyclOSM are the most accurate and legible bicycle route maps (because people like me have poured thousands of hours into updating OpenStreetMap).

The CyclOSM layer on OpenStreetMap highlights where cycle parking is available (and even if the parking is covered). Not sure where your photo is taken, but does it show the parking you were unable to find? This doesn't affect your point that you should be able to find it easily.

Hmm.. I’m sure someone could write some code to identify gaps, but the quick dirty way would be to visually look for little gaps in the bold purple lines (basically all of the AAA bikeways) on cyclosm.org

When I go somewhere by bike I haven't been before, I check the openstreetmap.org cyclosm layer. Blue dots are bike parking locations. It can also provide details like the number of spots, the type of rack, covered or not.

Openstreetmaps doesn’t show the cross section for a route, but it has various map layer options (CyclOSM, Cycle Map, Tracestack Topo) that show contours, as well as cycle infrastructure.

Reminder not to use Google's bike infra maps as they are woefully outdated, inaccurate, and often don't represent real infrastructure. Pleasure use and update CyclOSM

Le style cycliste actuel est un rendu image, fourni par cyclosm, il n'est pas interactif. Celui en construction est un rendu vectoriel, donc sera cliquable comme tous les autres "styles maison"
