I got cat's eye chrysoberyl sticks to make talisman pendants and this shit is wild. I'd never seen the stone in person and I am absolutely mesmerized. Worth the torture of the wait.
Three long, thin Cat's Eye cymophane Chrysolberyl gemstone sticks on a rock which is on a book. Two are a translucent light blue and one a light spring green, but in this photo the green one is showing its cat's eye chatoyance. (Like a star sapphire.) It looks a brighter, almost neon white-green and more opaque but the light blue ones are very transparent, almost to the point of colorless. Chrysoberyl was discovered in 1789 and is the third hardest "frequently encountered" natural gemstone: 8.5 on the Mohs scale. Three long, thin Cat's Eye cymophane Chrysolberyl gemstone sticks on a rock which is on a book in a low, medium shot. All three stones look slightly witchy and lit from within. Chrysoberyl was discovered in 1789 and is the third hardest "frequently encountered" natural gemstone: 8.5 on the Mohs scale. (And if you can find them for sale in this country not already in a setting then you're better than me. 🫡) Three long, thin Cat's Eye cymophane Chrysolberyl gemstone sticks on a rock which is on a book, two of the three fully in frame and both showing some cat's eye effect. Chrysoberyl was discovered in 1789 and is the third hardest "frequently encountered" natural gemstone: 8.5 on the Mohs scale.
