#cynics
Man. There are a lot of cynics out there. If what Booker is doing doesn’t bring YOU joy, there’s no need to shit all over everyone else’s appreciation.

Once again, a reminder that the "free speech" crusaders were always cynics operating in bad faith
New story up on the Homeland Security Department’s new tactic: flood social media companies with subpoenas to unmask anonymous accounts that criticize ICE or monitor the movements of ICE agents.

Fuck Donald trump, and the sea of grifters, cynics, and idiots he drags behind him.

Don't let the cynics convince you not to fight. FIGHT!
February 11, 2025 at 6:55 PM
Yes. While there are absolutely things Democrats can and must do to slow, obstruct, etc, GOP hold both House and Senate majorities, severely limiting our options.

Johnson and Thune are handing over the own keys and relinquishing their own power. Even for the cynics this should be a shock.
We all like to yell at the Democrats, but it’s really Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune who are letting Elon Musk and his faceless goon squad make a mockery of their power as leaders of a coequal branch without uttering a peep or lifting a finger.

I have lost all patience with self-proclaimed cynics desperate to pretend that their quisling cowardice in the face of evil is wisdom.

So many cowards and cynics on display right now. When the pendulum does swing back--and it will--don't forget where these sad and pathetic people stood in the hour of democracy's greatest need.

LOUDER FOR THE CYNICS IN THE BACK, PLEASE... 😏
Writers, please: you are not above children's material. Not every children's property needs to be reimagined with a darker, more adult vibe. Even ignoring that Casper does not require reimagining anyway, we can keep kid's stuff as kid's stuff.
CASPER is returning to the screen with a new live action series in development at Disney+.

Steven Spielberg will produce the series, which is said to have a darker vibe in the vein of Netflix's Wednesday.

Rob Letterman & Hilary Winston are developing.

All Cynics Are Bastards

You are, in the next few months, going to see a few pro-AI people who start trying to morph into "thoughtful cynics" on the issue, and I can't wait, because I've been taking such detailed notes
August 19, 2025 at 8:47 PM
Yup.

And the cynics can take a backseat. Tonight matters ENORMOUSLY.
I am going to be so obnoxious about every Democratic win tonight and I hope you all do too
Jay Jones (D) has been elected Attorney General of Virginia, defeating Republican incumbent Jason Miyares.

It's a clean sweep for Democrats tonight in Virginia: all statewide offices.

"remember the 2010s when gay 20-somethings were SO embarrassing and cringe online? thank god we're all jaded irony-poisoned cynics now. SO much better"

When I was a kid, cynics said "the president claims his war is about human rights but it's REALLY about controlling oil!". Now cynics are saying "the president claims his war is about controlling oil but it's REALLY about his own personal involvement in a mass child trafficking network!".
Look, I'm not one to quickly believe in conspiracy theories about us attacking Venezuela on a made up provocation to distract from the Epstein files, but the timing of all this is not helping me convince myself that it's not true.
Trump: "Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled ... It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the USA all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us."

Hegseth and His Magasty Pumpkin Tits pretending "obliteration" cynics are criticizing US pilots and the military is PEAK GASLIGHTING.

Speaking of self-proclaimed cynics who mistake cowardice for wisdom
weren’t you defending NATO two days ago? lol
I have lost all patience with self-proclaimed cynics desperate to pretend that their quisling cowardice in the face of evil is wisdom.

Never let the cynics and naysayers grind you down. You *can* have it all at once.

I don’t love that our media landscape is designed to turn us into joyless cynics

yet another big, depressing W for cynics who pay attention to stuff that happens and remember stuff that happened

California is beating its own climate goals ahead of schedule:

✅ Two-thirds of the state grid powered by clean energy
✅ More than 2.5M electric vehicles
✅ 201K public chargers (more than gas nozzles)
✅ 17,000 MW of battery storage (2nd only to China)

The cynics said it couldn't be done.

it only takes a little exposure to realize that being an expert witness is an incredible grift, and as a result it attracts some of the laziest, most financially-motivated cynics imaginable
New: An "expert witness" in a $61 million lawsuit over an industrial explosion that killed three people and destroyed 200 homes used ChatGPT to write his report for the court.

He prompted ChatGPT to "show how 3M is 0% at fault for the explosion at Watson Grinding"

Ignore the cynics. SNL UK is actually v good and could become great. And SO brilliant to have some proper sketch comedy on TV again.
March 30, 2026 at 10:18 PM
Wow, so many cynics, but you're forgetting that Mike Johnson operates on an 1890 news cycle and won't hear about the results until at least Twelfth Night.
Ha, I bet he’s sworn in today.
