🔗 archiveofourown.org/works/64382752
"How to Fix an Entrance: an Unhelpful Guide by Toland the Shattered and the Drifter", by fourthdimnsion Summary: "“If your Gambit is far more important than what a Hive God demands, She who has granted a benefit for your mere purpose, then you may as well turn around and exit this throne.” Toland starts pacing around Drifter in a full circle, entrapping him. Like peacocks would, perhaps. The pose is just the same. “However, if you are still the man I have known for slithering in spaces where you should not and profiting off it, then you may reconsider your stance. And your gun.” The rogue Lightbearer huffs, chuckles for a time. And as Toland’s lips narrow in annoyance, Drifter gives in. “Yeah, fine, I’ll reschedule it.” -- Drifter is called out for a favor without knowing that, of all people, Toland is the one to be his partner and guidance in this matter."
