Sony operates thier own disc-pressing factories in Japan (Sony Music Solutions) and Austria (Sony DADC). Sony also operates their own vinyl factory in Japan. For a company that can just press their own discs, and then bring back a format like vinyl, this is just sad and kind of frustrating.

Poor HD DVD, basically the whole format is unwatchable due to disc rot.
It's overblown on Laserdisc though, most rot issues are from a very specific factory (DADC) or from the discs produced back when it was still Discovision.

Just realizing: of course there will be a 90 day extension issued next week on the TikTok ban. And not because of our ability to use the platform. But because 90 days…gets us to Tax Day. So all the people/biz’s that have generated income won’t be able to say “I couldn’t get my tax forms from TikTok”

I worked for 20 years at 1350 Fruitridge Ave, next door to Columbia House, which was next to DADC (where Sony produced CDs). My aunt retired from Columbia House. This whole town was knee deep in CDs during my HS days.
