A research team led by Professor Daehee Park of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at DGIST, in collaboration with a research team from KAIST, has developed a learning technique that enables a single compact AI model to simultaneously predict the movements of nearby people and plan safe navigation paths for robots while reducing performance degradation in both tasks. The research was presented at the 19th European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV 2026) held in Malmö, Sweden, Sept. 8–12. The paper is available on the arXiv preprint server.

**Kim Jaejoong** recently revealed a darker side to growing up handsome. On August 15, Kim Jaejoong made a guest appearance on the Youtube channel **'Kkondaedaehee.'** During the episode, when **Kim Daehee** asked, _"You've been handsome since you were young, right?"_ **Jaejoong** replied, _"No,"_ and added, _"I was cute as a baby, but I became kind of ugly in middle school."_ **Jaejoong** continued, _"My face started looking better after I entered high school. I never really went through any particularly noticeable changes during puberty,"_ before recalling: __ > _**"Life was too hard for me to even notice puberty."**_ __ Jaejoong shared that his teenage years were filled with **struggles** and **targeted** **bullying** from older students. He recalled, _"I kept wondering,**'Why did they hit me so much?'** ,"_ and added: > _"During my school years, the older kids would always pick on kids who were**pale or looked different** from them. If you didn't look down, they would drag you into back alleys."_ Furthermore, Jaejoong shared a **specific incident** when older students targeted him:_"They tricked me by saying that a pretty girl liked me. They told me to follow them to the rooftop."_ These experiences eventually affected the way Jaejoong carried himself. He revealed, _"I have a**forward-head posture** because I spent so much time walking around while looking at the ground to **avoid making** **eye contact** ,"_ and added, _"I would even take**long detours** between home and school to avoid running into them."_ Because of the trauma he went through while growing up due to his **noticeable appearance** , Jaejoong admitted: > _"**I really root for people who are naturally good-looking. There are a lot of difficult things that can come with it.** It can be inconvenient."_ He added, _"People around you are constantly taking photos. You can't always eat however you want, and you have to manage your facial expressions while eating."_

On the 16th, a video titled **'Baeddindol, General Seol, and NMIXX Vol. 3 (feat. Bae, Sullyoon)'** was uploaded to the Youtube channel **'ggondaehee.'** The video featured **NMIXX's Bae** and **Sullyoon** appearing as guests and chatting with Ggondaehee (Kim Daehee). **Ggondaehee** asked, **_"I heard Sullyoon sleeps really well regardless of time and place?"_** to which **Sullyoon** admitted, **_"I tend to sleep pretty well."_** When asked, **_"Just how well do you sleep exactly?"_** she joked, **_"I could probably fall asleep right now (while filming)"_** , making everyone laugh. In response, **Bae** added, **_"People usually say someone falls asleep as soon as their head touches a surface, right? Sullyoon falls asleep even without resting her head anywhere."_** Sullyoon then confessed that **she had once fallen asleep while sitting upright.** **Bae** recalled the moment, saying, _"We were in the middle of filming, and Sullyoon was on standby. Later when I looked over,**she was literally asleep on the chair like a statue.** Everyone else was busy moving around and doing their own thing, but Sullyoon alone was just sitting there like that. So I even started making content out of it, saying things like, **'There’s a statue over there. Everyone, look over there,** ' and I even took photos too. **But she absolutely would not wake up.** " _**Sullyoon** responded,_**"I didn't even realize I had fallen asleep at that time."**_ When **Ggondaehee** commented,**_"I guess you don’t suffer from insomnia then,"_ Sullyoon** surprised everyone by confessing, **_"But I actually can’t sleep well in bed. I keep waking up in the middle of the night."_** In addition, **NMIXX's Sullyoon** and **Bae** performed part of the choreography for their new song **'Heavy Serenade'** on the spot, bringing out **proud 'dad smiles'** from **Ggondaehee**.
