#datacentres
This fucking government lmao

"The young people have no jobs!!!"

Seconds later

"AI is good, build datacentres!"

WOW I WONDER

i don't care how many hamilton references you make, we're still not building these datacentres any faster

This is about the datacentres Anthropic is building in the US, not the one in NS, but it’s an interesting read.
NEW: buried in anthropic's hefty ipo documents released yesterday is an interesting admission: the company's increasing reliance on dirty gas to power its data centers is actually exposing it to financial risk

wrote about it for @wired.com www.wired.com/story/anthro...
Anthropic Flags Gas Supply as One of Its Biggest Near-Term Risks
The data center buildout could cause a massive increase in gas prices as companies scramble for limited supplies and infrastructure fails to meet demand.

You are not allowed to destroy Russian datacentres that run the bots that drive traffic to my social media site.

Clearly Zelenskyy has a lot more Russian Datacentres he needs to target.

Oh brilliant. What the Chancellor means by ‘onsite generation’ is data centres powered by a load of diesel generators poisoning you right in your own home.

Shall I tell you what reindustrialisation means for this government?

- Increase armament production

- Destroy education

- Build datacentres
Reindustrialisation latest. All lies. It's political gaslighting.

I like passenger rail and don't like big datacentres, but rail needs a long continuous right of way where it may already be occupied, and datacentres are one big lot.

If this has been suggested in the budget it is another attack on the environment and local communities, #datacentres should not be given approval let alone fast tracked.
A British Data Center Covenant for sovereignty compliance; compliant data centers will be able to get fast track access to grid connections and be able to use local power generation to get up and going.

🙂 Loving the growing resistance to AI and datacentres all over the world, especially in the US. We do not have to accept this mindless shit that nobody asked for. #RejectAI #PitchforksAgainstDatacentres🧑‍🌾🧑‍🌾🧑‍🌾

What does this suggest is this governments main concern?

A) The people of this country, or

B) Big Business?

"In return, critical datacentres will get the grid connections they need and, where necessary, be allowed to build onsite generation while they wait."

Lets make that generation be from renewables and not from dirty diesel or other polluting generation
October 28, 2026 at 1:15 PM
Exactly. And the fact that the datacentres he is currently using don't run off his personal grid.
