With something like DataDog you have full line of sight into everything the model and associated agents are doing across the entire dev stack. The thought that this all happened without anyone knowing anything is beyond me.
Hugging Face was a case study, and I’d guess most of these followed the same test setup — not surprising, because the companies weren’t aware and so weren’t responding. But I’d like to see what models & tasks were involved. With so many incidents, they should know what the patterns were.
