I think rather than "dates" or anything that implies romance I would rather have the NPCs we grow to love and care for have their own "character quests" like you would for your companions in an RPG game. "Dates" would be a huge expectation versus reality clash and just make everyone wolsexual.
• (Asked about NPC date events) While I understand the request, what if it doesn't align what what you expect a date would look like? I'm not saying anything will happen to a given character, but if they were to leave the story, it would constrain us.

rather than dates i'd like little mission quest type adventures where they tag along a la variant dungeons... i can imagine them as dates yoship you don't have to make actual dates

It's not a competition but we're on a busy street and I served about 30 trick-or-treaters. Each one of them walked away with a flyer for my upcoming tour dates.
Got a grand total of three trick-or-treaters yesterday and now I have a mountain of Haribo. (Yes we had a pumpkin in the window, I'm not some kind of amateur)
