Lots of systems are having issues. If yours is, set the timezone to Mountain Standard. It may fix them. Datetime libs are a mess.

But most Python programmers use "from" imports at least occasionally, if not frequently.

I only use whole-module imports for names that are unclear on their own. For datetime, I import the whole module but rename it to dt (see tip #257).

Great catch on the PyYAML date parsing quirk. Because datetime date isn't caught by the primitive isinstance checks, falling through to the open {} schema is definitely a leak. Explicitly normalizing those temporal types 1/2

The columns: ts DateTime CODEC(DoubleDelta, ZSTD), temp Float64 CODEC(Gorilla, ZSTD), visits UInt32 CODEC(T64, ZSTD). Timestamps went 1.06GB → 37.5MB. The data was built to compress well, so check yours in system.columns.
