Whether it be days off or when I need my usual sleeping routine for overnights, my body refuses to give me a 12-6PM sleep, no no, it has to wake me up in the middle with daymares for no reason 😭

It does get better over time. But one has ti do the work. CBT helped me a lot.
For some of it, I am finally on the right meds to help with it too.
I had Ganglian Block done recently. That has helped with around 60 percent of the nightmares. Daymares have been gone for quite a while now.

That's why sleep and I don't get along. It's not sleep, it's before and after. Like I don't have dreams, but I have daydreams, that become daymares. The more busy my head is, the easier the bad stuff gets pushed aside. Being alone with my thoughts is a punishment.

It's known now that you don't have to have OCD or any postpartum mental diagnosis to have "daymares" as a new (or expectant) parent. It's known that psychosis and anxiety are possible as well as depression. But people are still not getting basic education about what help should do and look like.

i dont think there has ever been a brain more incapable of shutting the fuck up, no matter what, than broken ol' casey wolf's. doesnt matter how exhausted and stressed and in desperate need of rest and escape he is, rest assured the daymares and flashbacks will be completely uncontrollable
