(dcTalk's album Jesus Freak has a part that goes "the greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians." This was '95. Webbon definitely listened to dcTalk as a teen. He has never had an original thought and did not start here.)

The DCTalk song is actually how I first became aware of the concept of the Rapture, since it’s not a thing in Catholicism. I experienced it very similarly to my first encounter with Descartes, wondering how we’d know it hadn’t already happened and falling down an epistemelogical rabbit hole.

Apparently I'm the last one to know that Michael Tait was outed as gay, & quit newsboys ~24 hours later.
This was an "open secret" in the Christian music industry, & IIRC, in the Nashville area.
Watching him kowtow to 47 while he raked in millions from being in DCTalk & Newsboys was sickening.

Oh there is one about dctalk and their Jesus Freak album which was so formative for teen me. Ooooh, and Cash's American Recordings.
