“de-escalation through escalation”

How does this help any de escalation efforts?

“De-escalation”

De-escalation. What a concept!
I’m a staff member at a large university and leadership resisted the urge to arrest the protesters and instead negotiated. They signed an agreement this week. The encampment came down today, but the protests can still happen through end of term sans tents.

there has been no de-escalation.
This morning, federal agents staged at the Powderhorn Park Recreation Center lot and began to throw chemical irritants at observers. They also kidnapped an observer. Our parks are meant for our children, youth, and neighbors. They should never be militarized zones meant to separate families. 1/

I teach bystander intervention for a living and have taught de-escalation to law enforcement.

Trust me when I say that bottle girls, gas station clerks, strippers, front desk employees at hotels and airports, baristas, etc. have better de-escalation skills than any cop I've ever seen.

"De-escalation" was always complete bullshit. White House has been escalating all week.
This is an OUTRAGEOUS assault on the press and just goes to show that Convicted Felon Donald Trump doesn’t want people to see the truth about what is happening in our country when he tries to silence us!
Don was taken into custody by federal agents last night in Los Angeles.

Regarding ICE murdering citizens:
Charge them like anyone else.
Accountability de-escalates. Inaction guarantees escalation.

I would like Democrats to understand that doing literally anything is not the escalation they think it is. Doing something is DE-ESCALATION. Doing nothing is ESCALATION because it will cause people to take matters into their own hands.
once again i am asking literally anyone in a position of power to do literally anything so that our neighbors stop getting fucking murdered in the street

Not de-escalation.

🔴 "Moscow has no intention of stopping escalation."

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul stated after talks with Lavrov that his de-escalation proposals regarding Ukraine fell on deaf ears.

Moscow has no intention of stopping escalation, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul stated after talks with Lavrov. Speaking to ZDF, he noted that his de-escalation proposals regarding Ukraine fell on deaf ears.

There has been no de-escalation.
ICE already up to their terror in the exurbs this morning while Homan says they're drawing down.

white media is wild because why would they talk to someone whose entire thing is escalation about de-escalation?
September 16, 2025 at 12:23 PM
I’m seeing lots of people on here misunderstand the purpose of ICE watch.

It’s de-escalation. And it’s grounded in the social science of violence. 🧵

"de-escalation" lol
Columbia Heights (Liam's school district) cancelled school today because of a credible bomb threat at Liam's elementary and multiple ICE vehicles parking in the high school staff parking lot at 6:15am.

Pretty sure the only thing this will accomplish is a de-escalation in these companies' profits
More profiles in cowardice:
Target, Best Buy, General Mills, Cargill and roughly four dozen other large MN companies issued a public letter calling for an “immediate de-escalation of tensions” in the state. Stops short of condemning the killings or who is responsible for them.

Went to a protect-your-neighbors-and-resist-ICE training at a local church and part of it was de-escalation training and it amused me that the two most recent de-escalation incidents they recounted were further-left people getting upset at them.
