A lot of the Dawntrail patch dialog is hitting this discordant note for me. B'alith is a deathworker, an ordained priest of Nald'thal who's devoted his life to honoring that sacred moment of transition; Solution Nine and Living Memory are an insult to everything he holds sacred and he is LIVID.

Some of this is knowledge gained through his work as a thaumaturge, as well. He was primarily a deathworker before getting involved with the Scions, which sometimes involved investigating how someone died if there was a need for it.

The back half of 7.0 and a lot of the patch content has also been a serious test of his faith as a deathworker and a priest of Nald'thal. Living Memory is an affront to everything he holds sacred; it's hard for him to hold onto the philosophy that there is no wrong way to grieve now.
