Images of two dark comets from archival DECam data and our VLT data show no obvious evidence of faint coma either in the images (left) or in the surface brightness profiles compared to field stars (right). The DECam images of 2001 ME1 and 1998 FR11 are from 2022-May-12 08:22 and 2016-Jan-15 05:55 when the objects were at heliocentric distances of ∼ 3.5 and ∼ 4.1 au.
