Indeed, but the words themselves are not magic. They do not in and of themselves change anything. What matters is dutiful people in positions of authority willing to risk careers in defece of the ideals described in those words. Such people are in short supply, which renders the words ineffectual.

European here. You may not get our news there in the TrumpUS: Norway blocked filling up US submarines, UK Spain Turkey, Canada and others sending weapons (some on a loan basis, because we may need them in our own countries) and all the EU and other leaders have an emergency defece meeting today.
