DelDOT/the MPO should also commit capital funding and land planning coordination to make it happen (paging @lennibug.bsky.social)

yeah i mean the entire point of this argument is “the idea of substation is odious.” i ride deldot like 3x a year, i work from home, but it is obvious to me why deldot and delaware/wilmington streets should
be well-funded. this does not seem to be complicated!
People who don’t have kids in public school subsidize people who do. People who don’t drive on city-maintained streets subsidize people who do. We are all the subsidized and the subsidizers when things are operating normally; let’s not do this silliness.

It was great to visit with DelDOT employees today who worked through the night to combat the winter weather. Thank you for all you do to keep our roads, and our families, safe.

At the moment, all flooding is from the back bays, not any dune breaches at the inlet.
Sunday afternoon update: Route One northbound closes, southbound closures expected
DelDOT said Sunday around 11:30 a.m. that Route 1 north was closed at Fred Hudson Road in Bethany Beach because of flooding.

A contract with DelDOT that specifies the number of trains that are subsidized by DE, stations to serve, no $5 surcharge like NJ, and various capital improvements like rolling stock and new stations

DelDOT does well, especially given how much of this state is unincorporated.

Always strive for improvement and all, but this self-flagellation is a bit much.

We love that Delaware planted milkweed on the roadside for the monarch butterflies. 🦋 💙🦋
Thank You DelDot.

4 years in Delaware and anytime there's 3mm of flurries the state shuts down for 3 weeks because DelDOT is run by Texans taking after Ted Cruz. "Sky's grey, everyone leave until it's melted"
Delaware, we are still in the middle of a significant winter storm.
Here’s what you need to know this morning:
✅ We remain in a State of Emergency statewide.
✅ Level 3 Driving Ban remains in effect in Sussex and Kent Counties.
✅ Level 2 Driving Restrictions remain in effect in New Castle County.

Whew! 30 miles was a lot but I'm ready for 30 more!

I had a great time at the 2025 Legislative Bike Ride from Middletown to Dover. Thank you Sen. Sokola, DelDOT, @bikede.bsky.social, and others for making today's event a success. We all benefit from cleaner air and safer streets.

Forever annoyed by Coastal Highway at the DE Beaches, but I learned that DelDot has actually been looking at it and approved 1c and 2b here 👏🏼

I don’t see a timeline anywhere, but look forward to being able to safely walk & bike along the coast after 30 years of just using a painted highway shoulder

DelDOT is working with school districts to clear roads, sidewalks, and bus stops, no matter where they are, something that hasn't been done in recent history.
