Improving the lives of people with dementia is a priority for this government.

We're developing new guidance on dementia care to tackle inequalities and variation, appointing a dedicated Dementia Tsar, and providing up to £150m for research and clinical trials.

This is incredibly sad news. If you'd like to donate to Alzheimer's Scotland here's a link.

My dear friend has been diagnosed with a rare form of dementia and his daughters are raising money for Alzheimer's Scotland who have been so helpful to the family.

Make sure to get regular eye & hearing tests, eat healthily and be aware of any other health concerns that could be causing memory issues. Getting a diagnosis can be very helpful

In UK alone it’s estimated there are nearly 1 million people living with dementia. It affects people differently with differing rates of progression or symptoms.

All someone with dementia asks, is that you #SEEdeMEntia not the diagnosis/disease.

Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer. Every 3 minutes, someone develops dementia in the UK.

Too many unpaid carers are carrying an impossible burden with too little support.

We need better respite care, social care & proper financial support for carers.
