Capitalism drives ppl to burn out by exhausting the mental resources of workers.
Reading about deprivation sensitivity and ego led me to the concept of "ego depletion". Sources sum it up as saying self control is harder when one is stretched beyond their means. Mental "resources" depleted.

Deprivation sensitivity seems to be a more aggressive form of interpersonal sabotage, while the concept of "social contagion" is more passively acted upon by "group think" consensus of shunning and exceptionalism.

Cuz kind of like I wrote about yesterday there always seems to be two extremes. Either ppl respond to deprivation sensitivity (lacking resources and realizing that) by becoming more empathetic and solution seeking. Or they become more competitive and aggressive.
