The 30th of Knavesquill and I's 2026 Mörktober entries, for the prompt Dance. The text reads: 30. Dance An isolated hamlet amidst. In the meager square, all 3d10 sweaty villagers dance to silence. Their feet leave bloody prints, all the skin danced away. Teary bloodshot eyes and wide smiles snap to you as they prance. Food rots in the village, left for days. Villagers dead from endless merriment are slowly trampled and pulverized by those that continue. If you approach them, they offer their hands. If you take one or otherwise touch them, test Presence or dance for d10 days unless dragged beyond the hamlet. Each full day of dancing, take 2 damage. The text is accompanied by a black and white drawing of two people dancing together.

The last of Knavesquill and I's last Mörktober 2026 entry, for the prompt Pumkins. The text reads: 31. Pumpkins On an abandoned farm, in an overgrown patch, several pumpkins attached to pinkish-red vines sport various skin colors ranging from dark to light. Spotty hair and blemishes dot the pumpkins. They pulsate slightly. If detached from the vines, muffled screaming can be heard from inside the fruit. This continues until the pumpkin withers or is cut into. Inside them are the contents of an entire human body, minus skin and bones. The sweet smell of the insides attracts d6 Bloat Goats (refer back to Day 1) It is accompanied by a black and white line drawing of a pumpkin broken open, spilling dark guts.

The 27th of Knavesquill and I's Mörktober entries this year, for the prompt tunnel. The text reads: 27. Tunnel Smooth-walled cave tunnel that runs under a hill of dead trees. Crude figures in sequences depict scenes from a random character’s life, including their violent death. That person blinks and is in an endless tunnel apart from anyone else. Every few miles they pass the drawings again. Test Presence DR 10, 12, then 14 each pass to spot increasingly minute differences in the drawings from the true events. Upon three successes, they are out of the endless tunnel via a nauseating lurch. For each pass after the fourth, Test Toughness or take d4 damage from exhaustion. Knavesquill and I's 26th entry for Mörktober this year. The text reads: 26. Dice Meta Dice A peculiar set of small polyhedral shapes, numbers painted on the sides. GMs should describe these as normal dice. If you roll these dice, you become horrifically aware that you are in a game, and nothing truly matters. The end of all isn’t real. You aren’t real. But yet you must suffer because of somebody’s fun. This curse passes to the IRL player whose character rolled the dice. For the rest of the IRL game session, use two d8 dice for tests instead of a d20. If you ever roll double 8s, pass this curse to another player. It is accompanied by a black and white line drawing of several six sided dice.

Barefoot, dirty, nude save for a heavy cloak he holds out like wings. He politely asks to eat holes in your clothing; no more than 3. He does so peacefully if permitted, making overt moaning sounds while eating, then leaves after pulling 15s from somewhere to give. If turned down, he screams into the darkness, summoning foes as from a random encounter. The man is unharmed by the arrivals. Mothman HP 4 Morale 5 Un-Holey Scream: draws d6 creatures to fight those who denied the hole-making who leave Mothman be. Day 16 of Knavesquill and I's Mörktober entries, for the prompt 16. The text reads: 16. Ship A nondescript fishing vessel sits in a dilapidated harbor. Nets return either empty or brimming with dead fish. A jittery, nervous captain paces on the deck. Growling heard from the hold. The captain asks to be left alone. If you persist and investigate, find a young girl in the locked hold, coated in blood and gore, bright innocent eyes. The child is cursed, says the captain/father. Playing in an old tomb stricken her with bouts of madness. 3-in-6 chance she rampages nightly, using the stats for a berserker (wielding only a d4 bite and d4 nails), leaving broken, gnawed dead in her wake; come morning she reverts. A local bounty is out on her. Relic Crooked ancient tower of worn stone; the lowest floor sinking into blood-soaked earth. A heavy portcullis bars access. Beyond that… Floor 1: Desiccated corpse in a rotten chair, fingers driven into their own eyes. Gleaming gold bracelet on one wrist. If taken, you never want to sell it. Your eyes itch always. Up the chipping stairs… Floor 2: Tossed mildewy furniture, a single candle at the far side. A starving, haggard Scum (Core Rules) hides and attacks. After being hit, begs for food and a head pat. Up the slime-slick stairs… Floor 3: Scummy stone bath. Gaping hole in the opposite wall. A sack of coins (25s) on an end table. A shrieking mage in torn robes blinks into the bath, afraid of something he’s looking at. He blinks in and out every 10 seconds. “Don’t touch me!
