Forgive me but this sounds exactly like descrimination. Tell me more about this "profile" algorithm you likely paid some firm (far too much money) to put together for you.
The Home Office will restrict work and study visas from nationalities who are most likely to overstay and claim asylum. Visas will be rejected for individuals who fit the profile of someone who will go on to claim asylum and are from countries with high rates of asylum.

Errrr… That’s the intention. I do rather get sick of the “diplomatic” language they use… they should be forthright in their language and state that it is deliberate descrimination.

That's what is so infuriating about Callais. 1986 SCOTUS said you needed intentional descrimination. Congress using the authority of the 15 amendment changed the law and said no you don't. 2026 SCOTUS then says you need intentional descrimination basically overruling the section 2 of the 15th amd.

it's not a distraction exactly and I do resent that framing, just for future reference, but they already banned trans peeps from sports and made descrimination against us mandatory so this time it is literally just their way of framing it as acceptable.

Maybe that’s because “tough on crime” isn’t a strategy for safer streets or more effective prison reform, but a slogan that shorthands lots and lots of descrimination and abuse.

Yall being allowed on a website isn't a right, its a privilege. Anti-descrimination laws DO EXIST. Why does this not apply for the internet? If you are running a website from somewhere in the US that has these laws it should extend to whoever is running that business there online or not.

When it comes to AI regulations, I think the EU has the right idea with the AI Act.
The focus should be on harmful uses of AI (job descrimination, healthcare decisions, etc) versus hypotheticals about how AI shouldn’t get so powerful it can hack the internet or isn’t aligned with certain politics.

There is a certain segment of that group that are middle school and high school dropouts, and not because of economic hardship or descrimination.

- Trans women in mens prisons is cruel and unusual punishment (state sponsored rape)
- Taking away trans healthcare is a violation of privacy, the right to healthcare in general (see cruel & unusual) and I'd say the same applies to IDs
- Descrimination by sex or gender is the same thing
