Deutsche Bahn is seriously atrocious..nothing new tho.. they just are.
Wishing more money was spent on better railway and public transport services than wherever the heck money currently goes -.-

Can’t think of a better way to spend my birthday than with the 💜 of my life; on a sleeper train; adventuring across Europe. We may have almost missed the train (thanks Deutchebahn), but we didn’t and I got to give him the best head because we have the cabin to ourselves 😏😏😏

Our rail system suffers from having been the first in the world; it's been lagging in terms of innovation/maintenance/investment for decades, while across Europe many government-owned services (DeutcheBahn, SNCF) had a decent level of all three.

DeutcheBahn & many ICE trains are not terribly accessible. We stopped in Strasbourg for a wheelchair user & it was a whole damn production.

OTOH, Amsterdam had well maintained, accessible subway & train stations, & most of the streetcars I saw were low-floor, roll aboard models.

I was about to write a post praising Deutchebahn for a pleasant journey from Amsterdam to Frankfurt... but the train terminated at Flughafen instead of Hauptbanhof, and now I'm on the platform with thousands of other frustrated passengers waiting for 30 minutes for the S-bahn that keeps not coming
