laid off in 2024 (former AAA QA/devtest). applied to over 1000 jobs, most not even related to gamedev. got declined at McDonald's and Walmart for being overqualified.

I know devs who have been looking for work for 2 years who have been applying at Walmart out of desperation. I know some that have gone homeless. Who rely on gfm's. The harm is absolutely real. All for a handful of dudes to buy a yacht.

Ok so more work going into the targeting and combat systems. Also I'm kinda working more on the actual models now since I've been strugeling with how to properly approach a stylized character model that won't look weird in game.
