Today is my SIXTEENTH diaversary (holy shit my diabetes is old enough to DRIVE, wtf) and since I cannot bake the traditional diaversary cake due to hand-sliced-open, I am taking the bus to the gluten-free bakery.

Allen was diagnosed with T1 diabetes 21 years ago today. 8 years ago we celebrated his diaversary for him to succumb to the disease a few days later simply because he couldn’t afford his insulin.
