Behold my old Elektron Digitakt. The record button is broken, and they wanted a big pot of money to fix it.
Support stopped replying when I said I’d just buy the button from them and replace it myself.
So I asked codex to remap the button is
in custom firmware instead.

i generally despise LLMs and what gets passed off as AI but i've just uploaded seven synth engines from the Monomachine onto my Digitakt 1, and it's also polyphonic now

you can build your own firmwares here, just add the things you want and use the Transfer app to send the sysex. it's extremely easy, if i can do it anyone can. most of the mods are Digitakt and Octratrack but there are some for the Analogs. at your own risk obviously

ah, looks like the Analog ones are still in development. maybe there are other sites but i was only interested in the Digitakt, and Modwerk is good for that

My aim is simplicity that's still rather flexible, hence why right now there's only really two more things planned to be added - a sampler (Elektron Digitakt II), and some keys (Arturia MiniFreak 49). I'm still debating between a performance focused mixer or one that's recording focused.
