US authorities arrested the CEO of Oxygen Forensics and a Russian national over allegations they hid Russian ownership of software sold to US government agencies.

The software was developed in Russia and linked to a company that reportedly supplied the FSB and other Russian security agencies.

In the criminal complaint released on September 23, US prosecutors said Oxygen Forensics and Reiber in particular allegedly told the US government that the Virginia-registered company had no foreign ownership or control and that its software was developed in the United States.

Anyway, HMU if you need a digital investigator: The broad pitch being that most PIs are not specialist enough for digital work, and computer forensics people (especially in this case) are too narrow, too myopic on forensics for investigations.
