if i were playing video games right now i have the slightest itch to play gba chain of memories just cause.

At least I am slowly starting to independently watch movies again.

I'll leave some recent film thoughts. I'll extend these a touch with links in Alt Text (2000 characters/image there).
https://letterboxd.com/how2bepic/film/spider-man/ https://letterboxd.com/how2bepic/film/spider-man-2/ Despite rating 2 higher. I don't quite know if I prefer it over 1 with how charmed I am by the cheese and awkwardness. But 2 is objectively a cleaner movie I think. It really does fit so much into its runtime so well and my rewatch of 3 will be an interesting one. https://letterboxd.com/how2bepic/film/toys/ This movie has not stuck with me super well over the 4 months since I saw it. https://letterboxd.com/how2bepic/film/digimon-the-movie/ I expected to review this with a joke but I was so conflicted rewatching it, after having seen Adventure 01 before. The full review keeps going for 2000 characters. This is 5 OVAs cut into 1 movie and it might be the only Digimon thing people have seen. It's a TERRIBLE way to try and get into digitmon, but a great way to get into some late 90s dub decisions. I associate a lot of 02 Music with just this movie (so when I sampled it I'd usually point here). While I'm charmed by this movie, it's terrible as an introduction to the series, but at least people will get to see some pretty visuals from them OVAs, especially Our War Game. If I gave Digimon a watch proper, I'd watch the OVAs with the series as they came, and the OVAs would have to be subbed. Hurricane Touchdown is honestly egregiously changed from dub to sub I've heard. https://letterboxd.com/how2bepic/film/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles/ https://letterboxd.com/how2bepic/film/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-ii-the-secret-of-the-ooze/ https://letterboxd.com/how2bepic/film/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-iii/ THEY REALLY DROPPED THE BALL WITH CASEY ON TMNT III. I described that sewer set as making this feel direct to video and I mean that so much with how Casey was too violent for the 2nd movie, only for that. The suits look worse. The character that is New York City does not exist in TMNT III. It's a plot arc adaptation I wasn't as familiar with at the time but I think they really could have done more with the third movie.

Digitmon. It's Digimon, but all the Digimons' hands are just real-life photos of a very old person's hands.

Happy birthday, Jordie! 🎂💖

(drawn by @anniezard.bsky.social)
Birthday card from Olliemon to Jordie Battle from Binary Break. "Happy Birthday Jordie. Love Olliemon." is written in pink, with hearts, a cool S, and a skateboard. There is a picture of Olliemon and Jordie holding hands. Olliemon is a bipedal, purple tiger cub digitmon wearing a jean vest and smiling. Jordan is a white teenager with a mad expression and shaggy, brown hair. He's wearing jeans, a black tee, and a vest. It's a super cute card. Birthday card from Olliemon to Jordie Battle from Binary Break. The card is written in pink ink and has some super cute misspellings. It is decorated with hearts and smileys. It reads, "Jordie, You are my best friend! I know you have a lot of reasons to be sad and mad, but you make my whole life a big adventure. I know we can find lots of new reasons to make you smile together!! I am happy it's your birthday. Love Olliemon." I'm not crying. You're crying.

A ground view of a guildmon sitting in the grass. Below them is the head of a fluffy white dragon with blue horns. Their head resting on guildmon's foot paws as their face is deep in guilmon's butt. Guilmon is leaned forward slightly on their hands and are looking back with a happy expression on their face with their eyes closed. The dragon looks onward as they are sat on and squished deeper. On the horizon is a couple mountains with a clear blue sky overhead.

DIGI-ANIME DAILY - Day 22 - Sledding!

Today it's #BlackTailmon Uver. and #Gammamon sledding in the snowy psuedo-digital world from #DigimonGhostGame!

It's so fun picturing BlackGatomon Uver. goofing off because we mostly only see them making deliveries.

#digitmon #art
A digital art piece of two digimon playing on a sled in a snow-covered dilapidated city. In the foreground of the image are two ice spike clusters poking out of the ground, and just behind them, is a deep red sled that Gammamon the rookie-level triceratops digimon from "Digimon Ghost Game" is clutching the front of. BlackGatomon Uver. (called BlackTailmon Uver. in Japan) the champion level black cat package delivery worker is holding Gammamon's shoulders further back on the sled, letting them slide down together. There are two mounds of snow with more ice spikes behind them, and a cracked concrete fence behind those. Two snow-capped trees and two large frozen over city buildings can be seen behind that, and even further back is a forest fading into the background. The whole piece is slightly orange illuminated by sunset. There are multicolored small floating lights in the area typical to the psuedo-digital world.
