you can build your own firmwares here, just add the things you want and use the Transfer app to send the sysex. it's extremely easy, if i can do it anyone can. most of the mods are Digitakt and Octratrack but there are some for the Analogs. at your own risk obviously

Would it have been nice to get more? Maybe, I dunno. I wasn't really wanting anything else - firmware 4.0 already had me stupidly excited for the synth, and 5.0 added to that. Is it perfect? Nope, no synth is, but it offers a lot of what I want alongside my Digitone II and Syntakt.

I absolutely love how FM sounds, but it's definitely a heavier toll on the brain to learn (even with Digitone II's guardrails), but thankfully the Syntakt not only has a ton of fun up it's sleeve, there's also the Science Labs on the Elektronauts forums, and I do plan on participating in those.

Indeed. I would have gotten back into playing the flute or oboe, but those don't get along very well with living in an apartment. I do have plans to acquire a digital piano at some point, I really want to get the a keyboard synth and a sampler first before getting the digital piano due to cost.

Being able to pan the separate layers left/right is a wonderful feature. My heart is set on a Digitone II for my next synth purchase but I'd love to get my hands on one of these someday!

Hadere jetzt seit sicher 1,5 jahren mit mir, ob ich mir mir irgendein Gerät holen soll zum rumprobierem und um mal den Workflow zu ändern. Auge auf Digitone II. Bisher alles im Rechner gemacht, und zum Produzieren glaub auch das beste Tool. Aber mal bisschen viben und sich überraschen lassen, hmm 🤔

I have a digitakt ii and digitone ii and they're both awesome. I had a Pulsar before and it's super sweet but in the end the alligator clips drove me nuts and I sold it. I go digitone ii if you're choosing between the two. it's tonnes of fun.

Here’s some fm synth on Digitone being processed through the otis script on norns which is being live sampled and messed with in different ways on 3 of the Octatrack’s tracks. The OT is also providing a few other samples and selected tracks are being dubbed out by Lyra-8 on the effects send.
