We had so much fun handing out candy! Next year, E and I are doing costumes (didn't get a chance to this year due to late notice).

That’s fair. I find Charlotte to be less culturally diverse than the Triangle. They may vote Blue too, but it always feels like they have more white conservative DINKWADs whenever I visit
