Din Djarin and Luke Skywalker speaking their wedding vows in Mando’a to each other. “Mhi solus tome, mhi solus dar’tome, mhi me’dinui an, mhi ba’juri verde” which translates to “We are one when together, we are one when parted, we will share all, we will raise warriors.”

#dinlukeweek Day 6: Hiding Injuries | Luke and Din on a Tatooine mission

#myart #starwars #dinluke
Five-panel comic of Luke Skywalker and Din Djarin walking through the Tatooine desert as Luke reveals that he’s aware of the injury Din is hiding. 1. Luke and Din from the back. Luke is walking ahead while Din watches his back. Luke is saying, “You know my buir was a Clone Trooper, right? And that he and his brothers wear full body armor almost everywhere they go” 2. Luke and Din from the front. Luke is still walking ahead. He’s smiling nonchalantly, blandly, steepling his fingers like Plo Koon does. Din is looking sideways, silent. He’s aware that he’s in some sort of danger. 3. Close-up of Din as the man caves and responds, “…Yeah?” 4. Close-up of Din and Luke. Luke has turned around to look at Din, his hands clasped. He’s beaming. “Yeah.” 5. Close-up of Luke. He’s smiling softly, his eyes squinted, and gesturing with one hand. “I know a buckethead hiding an injury when I see one, Din. Strip.”

#dinlukeweek Day 4: Matchmaker Grogu | Luke meets Armorer and Paz

#myart #starwars #dinluke
Two-panel comic of Luke and Din sparring with their respective sabers while the Armorer, Paz and Grogu spectate. 1. Din and Luke mid-fight. Luke is coming from above, having jumped to avoid Din’s broad swing of the Darksaber. He’s unusually high in the air, his body braced against nothing yet coiled for a downward swing of the lightasaber. Din is braced for it. Paz, out of frame, comments, “No, you don’t—What the fuck.” 2. Paz gesticulating with emotion while the Armorer calmly looks on with Grogu in her arms. Paz exclaims, “That’s not how gravity works. That’s not how anything works.” The Armorer responds, “There’s a reason we’ve come to add jetpacks into our arsenal, Paz.” She looks down at Grogu. He’s eating something and beaming up at her. “You picked a fine partner for your buir. Well done.”

#dinlukeweek Day 7: Mermaid/Sailor | Comedic Miscommunication

#myart #starwars #dinluke
Digital painting of Luke Skywalker and Din Djarin standing in the ocean, chest to chest. The ocean is calm, reaching their waist. It’s painted primarily peach and orange; the sun is setting. Din is holding up Luke by his waist, his helmet tilted slightly up to look at Luke. Luke is holding onto Din’s hand and shoulder. Luke is also laughing, amused by their predicament. “So why’d our hosts just chuck us into the ocean?” Luke asks. “Well, the mer-people told me that the ocean is the ideal place for a first date?” Din answers. “And you were too awkward to tell them we’re married?” Luke guesses. “…They were really earnest about their help.” Luke guessed right.

#dinlukeweek Day 1: No Order 66 AU / Rebellion Era

#myart #sw #dinluke #plowolffe
Five-panel comic of Plo Koon and Wolffe barging into Luke's room as he's dressing Din's wounds with Grogu. 1. Plo Koon and Wolffe standing next to each other and looking at their son and his guests. Wolffe has a blaster raised. Plo Koon has a hand on the blaster, pushing it down. They're dressed to hide their identity, covering themselves from head to toe. Wolffe, to Luke, "Your dad and I sent you to get little Grogu! Not the Mando!" Plo Koon, to Luke, through the Force, "Koh-to-yah, dear one." 2. Luke and Din sitting on a couch. Grogu is held up in Din's hands. Din is out of his armor and shirtless. He’s covered in bandages and bacta patches. Luke has thrown some cloth over Din's head, looking like he's suffocating the man with it. Grogu looks askance while Luke looks harried. Luke, to Wolffe, "Buir! Knock! We talked about this! They came as a set!" Luke, to Plo Koon, through the Force, "Koh-to-yah, dad." 3. Close-up of Grogu. He's lit up, having recognized Plo Koon. He's wiggling and smiling. Plo Koon and Grogu converse; Plo Koon talks outloud while Grogu uses the Force. “Hello, little Grogu. I know, I know, it is good to see you.” “Sun-dad, son, yours?” “Yes, Luke is my son.” "Dad-dad, mine?" "Yes, that'll make you my grandson." 4 and 5. Close-ups of Plo Koon and Wolffe. Wolffe is leaning into Plo Koon, practically begging, "No. Plo, no."

#dinlukeweek Day 5: Dark Fantasy | Greek Mythology

#myart #starwars #dinluke #plowolffe
Seven-panel comic of Plo Koon narrating the dangers of a Sith planet called Hades in the past, while Din and Luke are exploring it in the present. Past: 1. Young Luke, dressed like a Jedi initiate, is seated on Plo Koon’s lap and looking at the datapad his dad is holding up. He’s listening intently as Plo Koon recites whatever is written on it. Wolffe is plastered to Plo Koon’s back. He has no interest in the lesson but he wants to be close to his son and husband. 2. Close-up of the datapad Plo Koon is holding. There’s an image of a planet on it with its information listed next to it. Plo Koon is saying, “Hades is a planet. But more importantly—” Plo Koon’s words bleed into the present. “—it is a prison. A trap. Built by a Sith Lord who claimed to love a Jedi Knight. Persephone.” The next four panels depict the planet Hades. Din’s Razor Crest is seen flying above its surface. All panels are positioned in a way to make the negative space look like jail bars. Last panel: Luke and Din inside a Sith temple. They’re standing with their back to the viewer. Din is closer. He’s calling out, “Luke.” Four-panel comic of Luke stopping Din who, under the influence of the Sith planet, tries to take off his helmet. Plo Koon’s words are in between the panels. “The planet strips living things—“ 1. Luke looking down at something, answering Din’s call distractedly, “Din?” “—of their restraint and discipline—“ 2. Luke looking up at Din, his expression as startled as a deer’s in headligts. “What—“ “—reducing them to their base wants.” 3. Luke hastily throwing up his hand and reaching for Din, who has his hands on his helmet and is about to take it off. Luke jolting forward with closed eyes, shouting, “No! Stop!” “Although there’s no physical danger involved—“ 4. Luke with his hands on Din’s wrists, keeping them in place so the helmet stays in place. Din, confused, asks, “Don’t you want—“ Luke cuts him off. “I do, I do,” he reassures Din. “—the horror of a stolen choice is untold.”

#dinlukeweek Day 2: Meet on Tatooine AU | Marriage Vows

#myart #sw #dinluke
Five-panel comic page of Din and Luke speaking in the wake of Din’s marriage proposal. 1. Luke and Din standing facing each other, both stiffs with nerves. They’re close but not too close. Din says, “You can say no—“ Luke cuts him off. “I know I can. It’s just—“ 2. Luke fidgeting, trying to be honest even if it’s uncomfortable. “I’m not who you think I am.” 3. Luke, silent, looking to the side. He looks sad. Resigned. 4. Luke, looking down. “I’m not…” He stops, at loss for words. 5. Din, speaking for Luke, “You’re not?” Four-panel comic page of Din describing who Luke is to him with the images of his memories accompanying his words. 1. “You’re not the guy who saves strangers and shares water with them?” Image of Luke and Din from behind. Din is reaching out for the water flask Luke is offering him. Luke is in his clothes from Tatooine. 2. “Who fights like hell to answer any child’s call for help?” Image of Luke and Din fighting back to back as Luke holds a clingy Grogu. Luke is wearing something a rebel spy would wear. 3. “Who keeps them safe and happy and hopeful?” Image of Luke playing with Grogu as Din looks at them, struck silent with fondness. 4. “You’re not?” Image of Luke in the present. He looks overcome, his eyes shiny. He answers, “…I am. I am that guy. I try to be.”

#dinlukeweek Day 3: Biker!Din and Teacher!Luke | Modern Bodyguard AU

#myart #sw #dinluke #plowolffe
Three-panel comic of Luke, Din and Grogu in a universe similar to ours. Luke is dressed like a teacher. Din is dressed like a Biker. Grogu is a human toddler in a hoodie with long ears. 1. Din and Luke from their back. Din is grumbling, “I have had it with you with you wizards and your magic osik. Time travel or alternate dimension? Or both? Really?” 2. Luke from the front. He’s quipping back, “First of all, it’s us Jedi and our Force osik. Second of all, I am equally done with it.” 3. Din and Luke swinging Grogu between them. Luke is beaming at Grogu’s delight. Din comments, “Well. At least we’re together.” Two-panel comic of rebel Plo Koon and Wolffe on an unfamiliar planet with an old Jedi temple. 1. Plo Koon and Wolffe from the front. Plo Koon is raising his hand, reaching out to his connection to the Force. Wolffe is standing next to Plo Koon, holding up a blaster. Plo Koon deduces, “Our child is on this planet. Just not in this dimension.” 2. Plo Koon and Wolffe from the back. Before them are arching, curved pillars. They look unusually shaped. Wolffe asks, “Force bullshit?” Plo Koon answers, “I wish you’d stop calling it that but yes.”
