Perhaps, it shouldn't be an RPG at all. At least, not in the sword & sorcery vain, as I'd wanted.
In all likelihood, I'd have a better shot at adapting Faust or interpreting the whole Faust legend through the lenses of a Discolike or a survival horror game.

The gameplay is very much Discolike but at the same time it is very different in ways which make it more challenging. Instead of a health and morale bar, you have to manage your Fatigue, Anxiety and Delirium, which if allowed to hit maximum will force you to permanently lower one of your skills.
