One of the places we were most excited about camping is Nomad View Dispersed Camping just north of Badlands NP. This place is perfect! The views are spectacular, there’s plenty of peace and quiet, and, best of all, it’s free!

After striking out completely yesterday, we decided to take one more drive through the Custer SP Wildlife Loop one more time continuing west. Not only did the sun come out but we spotted plenty of bison, including this small herd!

It was a rainy day today in Custer State Park but even the rain can’t keep the Begging Burros from their appointed rounds!

When you go to Badlands National Park, make sure you take the time and to visit Minuteman NHS, too! You can even see a test missile in a silo and visit the underground control room where they could launch the missiles!

It may have taken three days to get here, much of it in the rain, but you can’t beat the views at Cedar Pass Campground in Badlands National Park.
