I am increasingly worried about what Carney does actually believe is true. Him being disengenuous to manipulate perception (sorry, playing 4D chess) is just the most generous interpretation.
I get that Carney felt the need to praise this Iran deal as part of a general pivot at the moment to ingratiating himself with Trump. But I'm not sure a politician benefiting from an unusual amount of trust is best to use that capital telling the public stuff he can't possibly believe is true.

This is what I'm worried about in Markey v. Moulton. Moulton is defined primarily by ambition unsupported by achievement, and he's significantly to the right of Markey (though you'd never know that from his disengenuous ads). But Markey is 80 and Moulton is not.
With everyone obsessing over a handful of DSA candidates, the broader trend that might be getting missed across the country is that lots of Dem primary voters seem to have decided it is time for a new generation of younger nominees in lots of places.
