Wake up, Blumenthal! DHS/ICE CANNOT BE “OVERHAULED”.

They need to be dismantled and defunded. They were a knee jerk reaction to 9/11. They aren’t needed.

Overhaul CBP and purge it of NAGA, Proud Boys, white supremacists, racists but dismantle DHS/ICE.

Blumenthal: ICE and CBP are out of control. The practices of this agency have to be completely overhauled. It’s like a corporation in bankruptcy—either dissolved or reorganized. They’re morally bankrupt, legally bankrupt, and politically bankrupt.

Bad idea. ICE is pre-funded by the BBB. Also, CBP is just as bad if not worse and also pre-funded by the BBB. Severing ICE gives away any leverage we have to shut down the rest of DHS. We should be demanding to defund ICE/CBP of its BBB money and shut down ALL of DHS if they don’t agree.
