COVID was an absolute gift to Trump (Americans are suckers for leadership in a crisis) and if his response was even a Dminus instead of an F, he coasts to reelection.
My theory - if he wore a mask he would still be President today: he could have taken credit for everything if he hadn’t positioned himself as the guy who doesn’t think COVID is real.

I agree a million percent. COVID was his ticket to reelection. We are all suckers for leadership in a crisis. If he put up even a Dminus performance, he wins easy. Just stand there. Say empty platitudes like “be careful. We’re all in it together.” He’s the only person alive incapable of even that.
alone among heads of state trump could not turn covid to his advantage. people disagree with me on this but if not for the pandemic i think trump would have lost by even more than he did.
