Just an FYI: If you see people talk about downloading DOA5LR-Salons. Its a fan made patch to the Steam version of Dead or Alive 5 Last Round but its also claude developed. This also include the recent patch to add the removed lobbies from the Steam version.
A Screenshot from DOA5LR-Salons from Github; a patch that adds plenty of QoL improvements. However, highlighted in a red box, it was developed with Claude, Antrophic's AI.

implementing lobbies on it's own would have been massive enough but the rapid rate of half-baked features being vomited out made it so painfully obvious that AI is at the helm here. i'll pass on DOA5LR getting decent online if it's through these means, i literally do not care anymore 🤷

There are 17 releases made in the past week(!), the last one posted an hour ago as of me taking the screenshot, and the contributors to the project are "FgsSnow" and (drumroll please) Claude, which is circled in red.

even with stuff like the patch for DOA5LR PC lobbies, it's setting off alarms that it's only happening *now* after 10(?) yrs of being on steam...

This is a crazy update, we'll probably see rollback netcode being added eventually.

One thing also people never mentioned or acknowledge is that DOA5LR didn’t just update like that either. It was because the fans purchasing the DLC from other versions of DOA5, is why Last Round was even made at all. So really, people still bought DLC regardless.

The DOA5LR PC lobby mod is great, and it's amazing that we have content creators that are posting about the mod and trying to encourage other players to play the game again. It's a long shot, but constantly hosting lobby streams and sharing DOA content will help the game grow.

The Dead or Alive community has too many people who would rather tear down attempts of bringing back the franchise into the limelight instead of helping in their own way.
I don't like 6, but I will give my full support to the players that want to see their game grow again.

DOA5LR modding update: Steam lobby invites are fully fixed. 🎉 Accept the invite → you land in your friend's room. No menus, no black screen, from the main menu or anywhere else. Private lobbies actually private too. Turns out the PC build had the whole invite flow inside, just locked three times…

It really gotta be said, in that period of KT/TN porting their games to PC, DOA5LR was the fucking laziest lol. Couldn't even be assed to at least match the PS4 version so they just do last gen, can't even utilize PC's power lol. And yeah no lobbies because idk
