INTEGRITY Trustees are politicians who are elected to serve the public. I will govern with transparency, honesty, and accountability, ensuring the best results for students and staff. That means being accessible, collaborating, explaining my decisions, and advocating out loud. inclusion Inclusion isn’t optional—it’s an ongoing responsibility. We must continually re-evaluate our efforts towards equity. Every decision I make will account for all students’ needs. investigation I will listen and take your concerns seriously. I’ll ask tough questions, share the answers, and work to understand what’s really happening in our schools. When the system isn’t serving students, I won’t hesitate to challenge the status quo. impact Our students only get one shot at a quality education. The decisions we make today have great impacts on tomorrow. I will work to ensure students have the support, resources, and opportunities they need—not just to get by, but to succeed.

I've decided to throw my hat in the ring for EPSB School Board Trustee in Ward E. I'm excited to share ideas and get to know the community's needs better.
Get to know me below!
Hi, I'm SarahParent of two EPSB students and long time advocate for equity and public education. I co-founded Hold My Hand Alberta, uniting thousands across Alberta to push for inclusion and equity. Locally, I worked with the Edmonton Public School Advocacy Network to mobilize EPSB families in defense of strong, well-funded public schools. Policy to people. From decoding policy to building advocacy strategies, I make complex systems understandable and actionable. Navigating the education system shouldn’t require specialized knowledge. I work to ensure students and caregivers can speak up, push back, and drive change. After years of pushing for change from the outside, it’s time to bring lived experience and grassroots insight to the board table. Decision-making should reflect the realities families and students face Why me?I’m known for my community-focused, adaptive thinking that pushes beyond the status quo. This perspective is critical to driving meaningful change within the education system. I bring community-rooted insight, lived experience, and the courage to challenge systems that aren’t working. I believe real progress happens through collaboration, by bringing families, educators, and communities to the table. Your support matters.
