Scrivener is more addictive than doom-scrolling…and that’s saying a lot. 😄

Spending long days on the computer for the day and not-the-day job means I’m trying to reduce screen time on other devices, which is why I’ve not been online as much lately. I’m missing stuff but not doom scrolling is probably for the best

Still trying to avoid doom scrolling.

I have fallen into the trap of constant doom scrolling and its starting to effect my mental health so its to step away for a long while. A few notes before I go:
- Go buy physical indie games from indie stores
- Torneko HD is awful buy a Shiren instead
- Fire Emblem is GOTY

Willpower fails against doom scrolling or alcohol because relying on grit alone ignores the trap. You need actual structure, accountability, and a system to change.

Not for quick fixes. Reply with the word RECODE and I will DM you to book a call.

There's so much out there at the moment I tend to scan rather than read when I'm doom scrolling

Today’s good thing. The “What’s in my bag” series on YouTube. Thank you Amoeba records for offering up some groove scrolling, way better than the doom scrolling.

Loved this. Simon Hattenstone is a great interviewer - he gets his subject talking, cares about him, has an ear for interesting details and diversions.

A much better start to the day than doom-scrolling.

Was anti-doom-scrolling people I know who have awesome cats and had to mention this bonkers Britbox show, The Change. I think you might enjoy the Eel Queen.

i need to stop doom scrolling or watching stupid shit and actually get back to bandori in a real way bc every time i interact meaningfully w it (watching the anime/reading stories/listening to music/etc. rather than just scrolling the TL) i am just like “wow this is the best thing in the universe”

Man, it's a shame that even the new Avatar series has been infected with the "second monitor, brain rot, doom scrolling" trend in modern media.

Between the roller coaster news, the Shane Gillis crap, the cadmium poisoning, and everything else that's awful in the news, I'm done with Doom scrolling for today

Since Mario Kart Tour ended I’ve now ended up starting a doom scrolling problem 😭

A big thing for me while writing is listening to music. I do need breaks, but I avoid doom scrolling. I usually read a chapter of two of whatever I'm reading or a play a few levels on a phone game. What are some things others do? #writingcommunity #writers #writing #firstdraft
