Every time my dad visits he always finds something broken and chunters about how I can't live like this and sets away fixing it, like a grumpy fairy godmother. I've just put two twisty doorhandles on backwards so he's got something to do next time he's round.

You didn't go on about the Ahlbergs in the 80s, you just hung your school coat up on them and put away your pencils in them and sang along with them in assembly. The bricks and doorhandles of school, were the Ahlbergs. The kids' bit in the library was carpeted with them.
