I take pictures of Dozer with whatever lens and camera I happen to be fooling with, but sometimes I break out the Olympus 75mm F1.8 specifically to take photos of him because I like it so much.

If I actually did portrait work it might come in handy. 😀

A handsome tan and white dog rests his head on his paw on a gray/blue ottoman, looking to the right. Just his head and front paws are visible. Light comes into the frame from the upper right, lighting up his head and nose.

Been posting photos of this crazy dog nearly every Wednesday since I started on Bluesky back in December of 2024.

I'm not sure if anyone else cares to see them but I remain committed to the #DozerDay bit. Plus I love this dog 😀

A very handsome tan and white dog's head and neck fills the frame. The TV, out of frame, casts a blue light on the celing and the highlights on the left side of his face. His tongue is slightly out, and his nose and mouth in sharp focus and the rest of slightly blurry.

Dozer's ball has history, we've had it for probably 15+ years now as it belonged to our two dogs we had before him.

Lani and Waldo were the sweetest pair of mutts you could love, and Dozer carries on that tradition albeit with a bit more insanity. 😀

A black and white photo of very handsome tan and white dog resting his head on an ottoman. In the foreground, a large out of focus ball sits in the bottom right corner. Light shines from glass windows on the left, lighting up the ridge of his nose and head.

The medication for my sinus infection has some unfortunate side effects and so I was up most of the night. Doesn't help that the embargo for the new OM SYSTEM Pen lifted at 2am. 😀

Anyways, here's Dozer to show you how I'm feeling today. 🥱

I haven't really tried much portrait photography unless you count pets, but I've read 85mm is a great focal length for it.

Here's one of my favorite recent photos of Dozer taken while playing with an old 85mm f/1.4 lens, and so I'd have to agree. 😀

A very handsome tan and white dog sits on a couch, with his head turned to the right overlaid with his body and tail in the background. Depth of field is narrow, so only the side of his face is in focus and the rest kind of melts away.

A common position for Dozer, he sits by the pantry where we keep his treats and looks at us, looks at the pantry, looks back at us, looks at the pantry, etc...

Of course he gets the treat every time 😀

The head and neck of a very handsome tan and white dog, he is facing left but his eyes are looking right. Behind is blue light coming in from the windows and door.

Look at this face! Does this look like the face of a dog that could chew through and destroy a mattress overnight?

That's exactly what this little chaos agent did last night.

Doesn't look like he actually swallowed any of it based on how much I cleaned up. 😐

A very handsome tan and white dog's head fills the right hand side of the frame, looking over his shoulder towards the camera. Only his nose is in focus.

I bought a mid-tier wide angle zoom lens with the idea that I'd try and focus on landscape photography for a bit with it. So far this is the best thing I've done with it.

I may not be cut out for landscape photography. 😆

#DozerDay #Photography #Dogsky #DogsOfBluesky #ClassicMono
A closeup wide angle shot of a very handsome tan and white dog sniffing the lens of the camera. His nose fills the lower middle third of the frame, with his eyes just behind. The very tip of his tail looks very tiny poking out just over his forehead.

Dozer is wondering why I'm on the floor.

Sometimes I wonder too, it's getting harder and harder to get back up. 😀

This morning Dozer unlocked a new behavior, which was counter surfing for a piece of mail and then shredding it on the floor in another room.

This photo shows how I'm feeling about that. 😐

Toying around with the flash on a very cheap old point and shoot, I liked how this shot of Dozer turned out.

He has his own dedicated paparazzi 😀

The grass is quite warm and the dog is quite sleepy.

It seems that every trip outside must include ample time to lay in the grass, and I'm happy to indulge him if he lets me take photos. 😀

Dozer is a tall boy. This might be my tallest photo of him 😀

#DozerDay #Photography #Dogs #DogSky #DogsOfBluesky
a very tall and handsome tan and white dog stands over the back of a couch, with his front legs fully extended and his head up and looking to the right. The photo is taken from couch level so he looks very tall.

Happiness is rolling around in the hot grass, I suppose 😀

And we wonder why he gets so stinky sometimes.
