Much like the newer DQ games, DQVIIR has in-game lists and a detailed bestiary, which is awesome for completionists like me.

I'm so glad they're keeping PS1 Toriyama Kiefer. Everyone is DQVIIR is very closely keeping their original PS1 look instead of their slight 3DS redesigns but Kiefer is the most important

The demo ends when you try to use the new tablets you get in Ballymolley.
Took me 3:49 hours, but i explored a bit. The median completion time could be a bit over 2 hours for most, i guess.

DQVIIR is like if Pokemon remade Kanto again but they replaced a bunch of Gen 1 Pokemon with their Gen 5 counterparts and they also removed Lavendar Town and Pokemon Tower entirely but moved the Ghost Marowak to an on field encounter you can walk around and ignore before Giovanni in Silph Co.

It turns out the hand-crafted style chosen for Dragon Quest VII Reimagined was just that: hand-crafted figures that served as the basis for developing the in-game 3D models. Square Enix shares a new video detailing their assembly:
