Ooh I have this word twice but this scene is much better. Violet has just caught Ash with Scarlett by the pond. Ash kisses Scarlett and decides she’s only interested in Violet. I had a lot of fun with these scenes

Here is probably my favourite bit of my story(that I’d like to share anyway). It’s Ash and Violet’s first kiss! Very much a work in progress:

An excerpt from draft zero of my story Magic and Ash: She closed her jade eyes, I found myself looking at the fine hairs of her brow and the slope of her nose. The rounded pout of her lips when she was concentrating. I closed my own eyes and felt for her. I found her green energy and immersed myself in it. Like lowering myself into warm bath water. absorbed every bit of it I could find. Like a magic sponge. It wasn't enough, there had to be more. It flowed through me into her. I felt the rain stop. I opened my eyes. Violet's were still closed. The rain fell steadily all around us. An invisible umbrella deflected the rain and held it at bay. It pattered and swirled above us. "Violet," I whispered. She opened her eyes. A wide grin spread across her face and crinkled her eyes. I leaned in closer. She didn't move back. My lips found hers. Just a peck. I pulled back but Violet pushed in seeking me. Her hands in mine pulling me closer. We kissed again, her lips soft but demanding. The magic broke and the trapped rain fell all at once.
