My magazine-size stuff is in Drawerboxes (and I should thin it out some), but I've got like 2 boxes' worth and not 3 dozen books total.

I converted to them for my whole collection years ago. I do store my trades in short boxes.

So today’s #MailCall brings more additions to the #GreenLantern collection! Like GL #47, Mosaic #4, GLC #16, & Green Lantern (New 52 Era) issues 1, 7, 9, 21, & 23-25.

Time to mark them off the CLZ app & slide them into the new DrawerBoxes! Which, added bonus, is the whole POINT.

For the record, that last pic in the corner of the room will be the final home for comics once they’re all in DrawerBoxes! I plan to build a very sturdy table to put 20 or so shortboxes on (w/ room for 3 or 4 under if I want). Make it easier to access the collection!

But until I buy my next group of short DrawerBoxes, everything is in its place awaiting a full comics collection reorg! For now I can say my #GreenLantern collection is safe in its new home! And hey, my collectorz app is up to date, at least for GL series…

Day 3 we wrap the majority of the #GreenLantern portion of my comic reorg into DrawerBoxes (and updating my collectorz app).

Green Lantern Corps (all 63 issues plus the 5 for Recharge) are in my collection! No missing issues!

However…

For day 2 of this project, I’ve started building the new DrawerBoxes & moving vols of #GreenLantern into them (while checking that my collectorz app is up to date). Starting with volume 2 of GL…weirdly I have:

113 issues in my collection &
I’m also MISSING 113 issues…

There's a project I've been putting off for awhile, reorganizing my #GreenLantern comics from their current location (worn down longboxes) into brand new short DrawerBoxes. And WHILE I do that, I'd also be rechecking that each issue is correctly cataloged into my collectorz app.

For my deeper storage or things with autographs, etc, I use the Rubbermaid 20 qt gasket file boxes. They're a touch wider than a long box, but it makes me feel like they're not going to get water damaged or anything like that.

I use DrawerBoxes for my more recent/accessible comics.

My gas pipe is in my basement studio, set in a closet hidden behind one of seven bookshelves and next to a wall of Drawerboxes, where upon my He-Man toys battle. While the person waited patiently for me to clear/move the shelf, the tangible contrast between a proper adult and me…

I've a lot of long boxes of floppies, and I've not seen a setup that I really like. That's the nice thing about trades which work well in shelves like yours.

But I think I've finally settled on these. I want the short boxes so I can stock them in a closet facing out.
