#CreativeCarto So I recently got accepted into a program in Colorado called The Civic Academy it's run by the Denver Regional Council of Governments(DRCOG) They require an individual action plan, so I am going to work this afternoon on that project by looking at multimodal transportation.

EPA grant to the Denver Regional Council of Governments survived clawbacks of Biden-era funding. Now Power Ahead Colorado plans work including job training for nearly 5,000 people in the renewables industry.

Greenwood Village, the town of 16k, and is currently suing the state because they don't want to comply with state law, has one seat on the board of DRCOG.

The city and county of Denver, population 700k and specially recognized in the state constitution, also has one seat on the DRCOG board.

Something random we absolutely love about Colorado: there is an entity that connects and coordinates the cities, counties and towns around Denver called the Denver Regional Council of Governments, or DRCOG. But, everyone just calls it "Doctor Cog."

DIA will not be getting FAA $ to expand Peña Blvd. That means they will likely ask Denver taxpayers to pay billions of our DRCOG $. That would sacrifice $ for road safety & safe routes to schools projects for generations to come. It’s not a fair ask.

FAA “will not fund any portion” of widening to reduce jams on DIA’s overloaded Peña Boulevard
“As we look at our increasing numbers of travelers, it is becoming very, very clear we’re not going to be able to accommodate them until we do something to Peña.”
