"Praxic Order, who needs them? Bunch of zealots if you ask me... A small bit of Stasis should be enough to bring down this Dredgen Bael." - Dredgen Rime. Here's a look of a Stasis inspired hunter build from Renegades.

the Great Ahamkara Hunt, which is a comparatively recent event, and then killed Pahanin, so Shin killing him is fairly recent.

But then you have Dredgen Bane/Teben Grey talking about the Great Disaster as some 'ancient battle' and the Hive as something that are considered folklore.

about as this almost fairytale monster.

But the VoG fireteam happened *after* the Great Hunt because Praedyth, Kabr, and Pahanin participated. And the Great Hunt is something that Ikora and Eris and Wei Ning participated in.

So before the Great Disaster.

So Dredgen Yor could have taken part in

The lore is incredibly contradictory at times regarding how long ago events occurred. Especially when it comes to how characters talk about them.

Like... The first VoG fireteam seems like it should have been a very ancient event right? And Pahanin was killed by Dredgen Yor who is often spoken

Guardian or Dredgen. House Light or House Salvation. Caital or Calus. A Hive clawing their way up the ranks, or a Vex agent promoted again and again.

...okay, so the Vex wouldn't quite work, but you get what I mean!

Lodi (introduced in the Edge of Fate) is one of the most charming protagonists the series has ever had, and Dredgen Bael (introduced in Renegades), despite only having one medium-sized expansion's worth of character development, is easily my second favorite antagonist right behind Savathûn.

the best pitch i can give you on Dredgen Bael as a character: What if Kylo Ren being a pathetic wannabe who's getting manipulated by beings and forces much more powerful than him *was* the actual point of his character instead of whatever the sequel trilogy ended up doing with him. it's AMAZING.

A look at a little of what I'm working on. I've already got one story written up about an OC named Amara (a lemur), I'm just waiting for my ArchiveOfOurOwn invitation to come through and I'll be uploading it, and linking it here!
#nsfw #nsfwwriting #writing
one of my OCs, Niklaus Dredgen, worships a "dead god" named Ala'Tharzim... This new idea is as follows Ala'Tharzim isn't... quite so dead? Just Trapped. In a mortal body. Reincarnated every time he dies, with a curse on him to strip more and more of his memories away with each death. The goal being to eventually "erase" Ala'Tharzim completely Problem. The curse is relatively recent, and he retains his powers in limited amounts until such time as he begins to forget he HAS them He's currently on life #4, and still remembers that he was a god, as well as that his powers included rejuvenation, resurrection, and invigoration. He doesn't recall his true name (so he's lost a LOT of his power, mind you, but his power set is mostly unchanged), or exactly what kind of god he was But he can heal himself, resurrect after untimely death, and invigorate the body to endure injuries it normally couldn't. However, he's not immune to time, nor death via age/disease... And he is a major fucking masochist. Enter his partner... A rather friendly, kind-hearted elk with a heart of gold... Who routinely murders Ala'Tharzim during sex by getting so rough, so violent, and so forceful that it straight up kills him... But since it's an untimely death, said death doesn't... Stick. Ala's current body is named Jules Mengsk (pronounced M-ay-n-k-ss-k) His partner is Toby Wulpor (pronounced W-uh-l-p-oo-r) Toby is a volunteer firefighter, part-time security guard at the mall, volunteers at multiple soup kitchens (he alternates working at one one weekend, the other the next, and so on, in a loop), runs a monthly blood drive for the local hospital, and organizes charity events around the city. And while this would normally be posturing and hollow kindnesses, Toby is genuine Everything he does is 100% sincere; he's righteous, in the truest sense of the word Jules supports him fully, and while the memories of his time as a god DO impact his personality, he's learned it's best to withhold those traits until the doors are closed and it's just the two of them. Publicly, he's a very well-to-do man who funds his partners efforts with his work as a well-known horror movie makeup and prosthetics artist. Behind closed doors, however, he's VERY much a fallen god. He's arrogant, belittling, and entirely too big for his britches, so to speak. A common exchange between them when preparing for a night in bed together is like this: "Honey I can smell the soap on you... You used the one I like, and lots of it... You clean out for tonight?" "As if I would waste my efforts 'preparing' for you. I'm simply clean, as I always am, as is my right to be without question." (Translation: Yes, now hurry up and jump me already!!) "So ya done went and got all gussied up for me... Ain't that sweet." "Don't assume you're so special as to-" Toby's hand closes around Jules' neck, squeezing it tightly, cutting off both blood circulation and air flow in equal measure* "Now, now, darlin'... Don't go snappin' at me. I just might snap somethin' back." His wrist slowly twists, a dull, tense ache forming in the tendons and muscles of Jules' neck Their foreplay is filled with things that the Surgeon General would call abhorrent, and I'm getting ideas that their actual sex would probably violate the geneva convention
