Drekhi! A protoform of dragon from my TTRPG setting "Beyond the Aether", the gods ran out of juice before they made full giant lizards. They adapt to the environment they live in, altering their bodies as such, and if they absorb enough magic they get BIG!

Little dragon creatures that adapt to the environment they live in! High altitude, near bodies of water, deep underground, snowy mountains, you name it! Each kind seems to grow fur, horns, fins, change color or even consistency. In the center there is the common type, Drekhis with no discernible environmental trait, mostly used to forests or blending in with urban environments. This one is particular is called Balderich, a recurring character in my stories and drawings. Sir Balderich holding out his cape as a water Drekhi shows up behind him, a deeprock Drekhi comes out of his hat as they lift it and a sky Drekhi look at him curious. In the back it reads "Guide to Being a Drekhi. 1) Be Adorable. 2) Eat. 3) Repeat."
