Governance Review No. 43 is out.

Ikigai's ₳103,000 deposit reimbursement went unpaid a third time. 129 DReps voted yes, 5 no, and it still stopped at 65.2% of DRep power. A withdrawal needs 67%, and power that did not vote counts as no.

Cooking on a builder for protocol parameter changes on @dreptalkcom.

Change a value and it shows what happens right away: who earns less, who decides, when it takes effect, and which values are out of range.

Once you are happy, submit and let the tribe decide.

SPOs can attach a rationale to a pool vote, same as DReps. It shows up next to the vote on DRepTalk and tells delegators why the pool voted that way. How to do it, plus everything else about voting as an SPO:

Every DRep, pool and governance action on DRepTalk has an address that never breaks: the on-chain id is the link. A DRep renames, the old link still works.

Guide: how to link to any page:

ADA +11% in 24h and headlines credit Dijkstra. The fork runs on a slower clock.

Leios + nested txs still need node 11.3, Preview and Preprod forks, then DReps, SPOs and the CC to ratify.

Intersect windows: Dec 5 to Jan 4 (moderate), Feb 24 to Mar 26 (high).

Price front-runs. Forks don't. NFA

Did you know the voting card on every governance action opens up?

Click it and get all the details: Yes, No, No by default from DReps who did not vote, Always No Confidence, and the abstain stake that leaves the tally.

648 DReps have cast a first vote. 150 earned Shows the Work, ten votes with a rationale. Zero have Full Spectrum, a vote on all seven action types.

No badge depends on voting yes, no or abstain. Badges are for showing up, never for which way.

190M ada parked on silent DReps is dead weight in every tally. If your DRep went quiet, switch. Stake stays in your wallet. Votes start counting again.
October 1, 2026 at 7:54 AM
190 million ada is still delegated to several hundred Dreps who stopped voting.

None of that stake counts in governance votes.

If your DRep went quiet, pick a new one. Your ada never leaves your wallet.

Off-chain wallet login for five governance roles. Keys stay local. That is how you get DReps into the tool without another password stack.
Signing in to DRepTalk is a wallet signature over a message. Nothing goes on chain, no fees, the server never sees your keys.

Five roles: DRep, SPO, committee member, proposer, delegator. Each one has different features.

What are we missing? ⤵️

Wallet sig for login, zero on-chain fee, keys never leave the client. Five roles mapped to real governance jobs. That's the UX DReps actually need.

Day 12.6 median across 27k+ timed votes is a real operating number. Hard forks clear in a week; treasury takes longer. Do late-window votes keep rising as more DReps automate?
September 29, 2026 at 10:16 AM
How fast do DReps vote? Median: day 12.6 after submission, over 27,396 timed votes. SPOs: day 18.6.

By type: hard forks day 7.1, committee changes day 8.0, treasury withdrawals day 12.9.

The last third of a voting window still brings a third of the votes.

SPOs have voted on 8 governance actions. Median turnout: 36.4% of pool stake, 56.4% among pools without a default stance.

46.4% of pool stake is pre-set to always abstain or no confidence.

One action where the two bodies disagreed: minPoolCost to ₳75, SPOs below threshold.

"Why is there something but no nothing?" –Mr. Dreps, English teacher

Mr. Dreps told us that as part of a special assignment for one of his Harvard professors, wrote a paper arguing that the absence of a true "nothing" indicated the presence of a divine entity ("God," in his words).
"What they hide matters less than creating a world in which future generations do not even know what to seek. A silo in which even your scream is just an echo, fine-tuned by an algorithm that never lets you escape a machine's perception of yourself.”
