The wheel I picked up in Philadelphia 2 weeks ago. The rim has some cracks that could use stabilization, but it spins very nicely. The yarn stop is a spindle whorl, and so is my improvised axle retaining "nut."

A bright blue, plastic whorl looks festive but also out-of-place on the spindle of an antique great wheel (aka "wool wheel," "walking wheel"). In the background are green houseplants and a harvesting knife. The hub of the antique Pennsylvania great wheel. The original orange paint is complemented by a small wooden "toy" wheel, that has been painted blue and pressed onto the end of the axle in place of a missing retaining nut. In the background are the drivewheels of several other walking wheels. The great wheel (GW) on a porch on a rainy day. It is parked next to a very similar GW and a couple other spinning wheels with large drivewheels and no treadles.

Baby's first caster greasing! 🥰
A manual wheelchair with electric drivewheels lies on its back on a kitchen floor. The right caster is removed and disassembled, the parts are laid out on a rag alongside tools and lithium grease.

The MAN buses in Oslo didn't have any problems due to 4WD. Chinese buses aren't up to the task.
Other buses has drivewheels on the rear section, none on the bus itself. Anyone with only a touch of common sense would understand it wouldn't work. Except for those who ordered the buses obviously... 🙄
