Haven't tried EchoLink yet, but it's on my to-do - or to-try - list. Regarding HF, my license only includes 10m but I don't have any 10m gear yet. As for DMR, if you want to play around with that without having to buy anything, maybe this could be a good first step:

Regarding Droidstar, it looks like I could use the Apple version, although that might be a bit of a hassle at the moment. I'll have to look into that when I get some time.

I, too, use EchoLink. I've tried using Droidstar, but without any success. Any suggestions? I have a Samsung A32 5G and both a Motorola G6 Play and G7 Play.

A lot of hams think that. I love the ARDEN, echolink and and droidstar. I have a Yaesu FT710, it's a beast. But I fix radios, sometimes people would rather buy a new radio than change finals out so i have quite the radio collection.

C4FM and YSF are all part of the same thing but I haven't fully figured it out yet. There's a lot going on there and a fair bit of it is oriented around repeater operations.
That said, if you get it working, you might be able to connect to the Ohio Link Network.

Looking at the smart watch.. I had a D-star QSO with another ham running DroidStar on his android watch. NOT a smart watch that links to a cell phone but an "All in one" android watch/pone/etc. Think "Dick Tracey to Go Go Gomez" and the Diet Smith two way wrist radio.
